H1N1- the vaccine race

As the H1N1 virus is spreading tremendously, we must protect ourselves more. We should practise good hygiene; we should wash our hands very frequently, and not share substances with others. From one case before the june holidays to much more than a thousand a month later, the disease is really really spreading rapidly. When a vaccine is made to protect us from the spread, the disease, as though alive, goes into a different spread, that makes the vaccine redundant. What i am afraid of is that it becomes a more deadly spread! From this experience, i learnt that we should be more viligent and alert at all times.

The NE Show

The NE show was spectacular. It felt as if it was really the real NDP.

Firstly, it was quite funny when they said that the prime minister was here, but when the guards opened the door of the police car, a boy, probably 20 or below walked out of it. The adrenaline in my body disappeared immediately, having me heave a giant sigh, due to the fact that i was hoping to see the real prime minister! However, the deputy prime minister and defence minister was real, it was such a good experience and exposure to meet him!

Not only that, we could also meet famous actors such as Michelle Chong, Mark Lee,Suhaimi Yusof and Veneta Lopest. They were so funny, it was like a once in a lifetime experience! LIke how they act in television shows, they changed their clothes swiftly as they took up different roles. Some of their attires were quite weird and strange!

I took many videos for the marching parade. When one of the commanders was shouting, I did not know what he was saying! The way they marched looked difficult, I really envied them. There were so many crowds, I really was devastated!

It drizzled almost every 45 minutes. I did many precautions every time it happened. However, the rain stopped less than 5 minutes later, as i could hear people hollering at me to put my umbrella down. The same scenario happened every time, until I felt very bad for doing that. Ithappened about 4 times, what really scared me was the 5th time.

The beginning was about the same, it drizzled just like the previous consecutive times. Suddenly, the slow pittar- patter on the ground became a heavy downpour. I was caught unprepared, as rain battered on both me and the ground. I took up my bag and umbrella, scurried away as the crowd was evacuating. It was really like a flood, the stairs was like a mini- waterfall!

The walk to shelter was quite long. After we finally got onto the bus and sat down, i could not sit down. my pants was drenched, it was really freezing! Just as the bus was about to move, i realised something, i had left my food, my goodie bag and my cap there. I kept blaming myself in the heart for being so forgetful.

After i reached to the school, i told myself something in my heart: to be alert, ready for a catastrophe at all times, and not be forgetful.

Life in Ancient Greece

If i were living in greece, I would feel very pain in my heart; for the fact that totally uneducated women are walking around the streets. I feel that the women really need education, we should treat every body, regardless of gender fairly.

It is really hurting to know that if the husband dies, the wife does not get to own the property, but instead gets thrown out on the road. If her child is a male, she would still be able to live in the house. However, if her child is a female, both her and her child would be thrown on the streets and probably and sadly, left to die.

I really should feel grateful about living in singapore, getting perfect education all the time. Even if you pay me a large sum of money, i still would not want to go there...
